Whole psyllium seeds provide mucilaginous fiber in a gentler, less concentrated form than the separated husks. When soaked, their outer coating swells into a gel-like layer that retains moisture, adds bulk to stool, and supports comfortable digestive regularity. The seeds can be soaked, stirred into liquids, or incorporated into foods and should always be consumed with plenty of water.
